HOURS AND ADMISSION

The Chinese Lantern Festival is open every day from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm (a little later if crowds warrant), through January 6, 2013. We are open holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Tickets can be purchased in person or online.

In person at our main gate, you can use cash or a major credit card. There are no service fees at our gate. With a spacious location, you don't need to worry that we'll 'sell out' of tickets. However, you may prefer to purchase online, where you can securely buy tickets using a credit card, and avoid a purchase transaction when you arrive. We can deliver your tickets ordered online by mail or UPS (charges apply) , or simply hold them at our main gate for pick-up. Online orders placed 10 days or fewer before your visit will be held at our gate. Click the "Buy Tickets" button in the upper right of this page to purchase online. Service charges apply. Online tickets can be ordered for the same day until 4:30 pm. After that, you'll be directed to our gate.

For groups of 20 or more, please call Wayne at 214-928-7670.
Children 3 and under are always FREE.

NATURE BUILDING IS OPEN
Inside the perimeter of the Chinese Lantern Festival, the Nature Building is open Friday through Sunday from Noon to 5:00 pm. The building features historical wildlife dioramas, and keeps these hours even as the Museum of Nature & Science moves to Victory Park. A visit to the Nature Building dovetails nicely with the Lantern Festival. As the building closes, we open, allowing for an even more enriching visit. The Museum charges $1 to enter the Nature Building (free to Museum members). The Science Building and IMAX® Theater are now closed. For more, go to perotmuseum.org.
